PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated wood beam capable of easily constructing a roof in a greatly spanning structure in an arched or suspension curved shape, and a roof structure. SOLUTION: A plurality of laminated wood beams 11 in an arched shape are bridged between columns 12, 12, opposed to each other in a spanning direction, in the same direction and laterally assisting rigid materials 7 are bridged between adjacent laminated wood beams 11, 11 to construct a roof in an arched shape between both ends via joint plates. The laminated wood beam 11 is formed by joining a plurality of structural laminated lumber materials 3 via joint fittings in the axial direction, successively inserting strand materials 10 in the axial direction and protruding the joint plates on the joints between both structural laminated lumber materials 3 at a right angle to their axes.
