AUTOMATIC DISCRIMINATING AND ALIGNING OF PARTS AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic discriminating/aligning method of parts and a device therefor in which parts fed at random are aligned in optimum positions in the next process to stock them. SOLUTION: This automatic discriminating/aligning device for parts W consists of a feeding mechanism 5 for stocking the parts W to feed a plurality thereof at random in a line, a conveying path means 4 such as a conveyor belt for mounting the plural fed parts W thereon in a line to intermittently transfer them, a discriminating mechanism 6 for recognizing the parts intermittently transferred on the conveying path means 4 by a camera 23 as an image to check the image against that inputted to a controller to remove unadaptable parts from the conveying path means 4, a return path means 7 for recovering the removed parts W in the feeding mechanism 5, and an aligning mechanism 8 for collecting the parts W discriminated and intermittently transferred on the conveying path means 4 by a prescribed number of parts.
