PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation thermometer capable of accurate body temperature measurements while eliminating the influence of bedewing, even if the ambient temperature of the radiation thermometer varies, by reducing the possibility that bedewing occurs at an infrared detector. SOLUTION: This infrared detector has a light collecting element 13 for collecting infrared rays radiated from the subject of measurement 3, an infrared ray receiving element 12 for receiving the infrared rays collected by the light collecting element 13, a cylindrical probe 5 through which the infrared rays going from the subject of measurement to the light collecting element 13 pass, and a light shielding body 14 shielding the incidence on the infrared ray receiving element 12 of the infrared rays coming from outside the light collecting element 13. The light collecting element 13 is made from a material of low heat conductivity and small heat capacity and the infrared ray receiving element 12 is spaced backward from the focal position of the light collecting element 13. Therefore, even if temperature around the infrared detector varies, the light collecting element 13 is not dewed and thus measuring errors are prevented to enable accurate temperature detection.
