ELECTRODE UNIT FOR ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode unit capable of making the exhaust gas treating capacity freely adjustable by forming an electrode body as a plate unit and superposing an appropriate number of the units on one another. SOLUTION: This unit is provided with opposed conductors 1a and 1b, a ladder electrode 1 formed by arranging and fixing plural conductive screw rods 1c between the conductors at prescribed intervals, planar insulating members 4 arranged at a specified distance from the ladder electrode 1 and a flat-sheet electrode 5 arranged on the surface of the insulating members 4. The ladder electrode 1 and flat-sheet electrode 5 are connected to an AC power source, and the gas to be treated is passed through a corona-discharge atmosphere generated between both electrodes 1 and 5.
