ACIDPROOF HUME PIPE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Hume pipe superior in the acidproof property while effectively utilizing various wastes by using a material comprising a slug composition including the waste molten slug and having a specific CaO/SiO2 mol ratio, alkali silicate used in an inorganic binder and a soil improver, and an aggregate. SOLUTION: In manufacturing an acidproof Hume pipe used in the erosive place in the acidic soil, an inner surface and an outer surface of the pipe is made of a material composed of (A) a slug composition including the waste molten slug and having below 0.9 of CaO/SiO2 mol ratio, (B) alkali silicate and (C) an aggregate. The slub composition of (A) component is, for example, the burned ash obtained by burning the urban waste, the paper-shredder dust or the like. The acidproof Hume pipe is manufactured by kneading a material of (A)-(C) components or a material prepared by optionally adding another component to (A)-(C), injecting the material into a mold to form the pipe by the centrifugal molding, and curing the pipe.
