PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator with wheelchair footstep capable of being constituted by a main frame of length corresponding to a horizontal movement section of each footstep in the vicinity of a getting on/off port in the ordinary escalator. SOLUTION: A connection arm 17 displaced to the side of a lower end 2 of a main frame 1 is provided in a first wheelchair use footstep 15, a rise tread 181 displaced to rise to be supported by a connection arm 17 and a carlock piece 20 displaced to protrude are provided in a second wheelchair use footstep 18. A lift device lifting a drive mechanism 29 of the connection arm 17 or the like to an operating position is provided in an operating mechanism 8 in an end part of the main frame 1. A wheelchair loading surface 23 is formed by stopping the first wheelchair use footstep 15 in a gradually increasing inclination movement section of the footstep, and supporting the rise tread 181 by the connection arm 17 in the lower end side of the main frame 1. In this way, a wheelchair 22 can be conveyed by an ordinary horizontal movement section in the end part of the main frame 1, and setting up of an escalator with wheelchair footstep is facilitated with no increase in the total length of the main frame 1.
