PROCESS FOR PRODUCING BORON OXIDE-BASED RED FLUORESCEIN

PURPOSE: A process for producing boron oxide-based red fluorescein is provided which has homogeneous particle size, and improved brightness and color purity by sol-gel method and low-temperature sintering. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises the steps of: liquefying the oxides of elements comprising fluorescein with acetic acid and water; adding boric acid as base to the metal oxide solution; refluxing at 120-140°C; cooling the obtained solution and gelling by adding alkali; separating the gel from solution, followed by washing and drying; and low-temperature sintering the solid under 1,200°C.
