STENT FOR EXTENDING AN INNER CAVITY

PURPOSE: A stent for extending an inner cavity is provided, which does not move from the transplanted region, and is very stable and highly flexible. CONSTITUTION: The stent comprises a screw-shaped stent member (1) where a filament (3) is wound in screw-shape to form a cylinder-shape having a uniform diameter; a zigzag member (5) having a larger diameter than the screw-shaped stent member (1) where a filament (7) is wound in zigzag to form a cylinder-shape; the first cover member (9) which covers the inner and outer surface of the screw-shaped stent member (1); the second cover member (11) which covers the inner and outer surface of the zigzag stent member (5); and a connection member (13) which connects the first cover member (9) with the second cover member (11). The connection member (13) is preferably formed in mesh structure, and is prepared by using a synthetic fiber such as nylon having good flexibility, a polymer or a flexible wire. The connection member (13) is positioned in the same center line to the screw-shaped stent member (1) and the zigzag stent member (5).
