PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic silica particle of large bore, together with a method for easily manufacturing it, which is useful as an adsorbent, adsorbing carrier, extractor-agent, extracting carrier, and catalyser carrier, etc., with small specific surface area, sufficient small bore volume, and large small bore. SOLUTION: Si alkoxide and magnetic silica particle of large bore wherein, the content of magnetic material is 5-50 wt.% of the entire amount, average particle size of the silica particle is 1-200 μm, BET specific surface area is less than 100 m2/g, small bore is 10 nm or less, and small bore volume is 0.3-2.5 ml/g, are allowed to generate Si alkoxide polymer, which is allowed to carry magnetic material. |
