PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide whether or not image data to be a correction object are images by simple constitution and to prevent an image correction processing corresponding to a histogram from being performed with respect to these other than the images. SOLUTION: In this image processing method which prepares the histogram of a source image, setting an image processing condition based on the prepared histogram and image processing the source image, whether or not the source image is the image is decided based on the shape of the prepared histogram, and when it is decided that the source image is not an image, the image processing is not applied to the source image.
