PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the dimension in the axial direction of a blower. SOLUTION: A fan motor 12 is constituted of an outer-rotor brushless motor, and the wing piece 13a of a fan 13 is made integral with the cylinder 25a of a resinous rotor casing 25. A waterproof cover 30 surrounding the open end of the rotor casing 25 is integral with a mount 18 united with the mold resin part 17 of a mold stator 14 so as to prevent dust or rainwater from entering the fan motor 12 through the gap between the rotor casing 25 and the mold stator 14.
