PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress fluctuation in a pixel electrode potential and to improve yield by providing a fixed potential application means applying a fixed potential so as to reduce a maximum potential difference between any serial connection part among plural TFTs and a pixel electrode in any serial connection part among the plural TFTs when the plural TFTs are turned off. SOLUTION: A pixel 16 is provided with liquid crystal 17 between a pixel electrode 18 and a counter electrode 19 and auxiliary capacity 20 formed between the pixel electrode 18 and an auxiliary electrode 21 and is constituted so that a common potential Vc is applied to the counter electrode 19 and the auxiliary electrode 21. Further, a p channel TFT 25 forming a fixed potential application means is constituted so that a source is connected to a connection point 26 between n channel TFTs 22, 23, a gate is connected to a gate bus line 14 and a drain common potential Vc is applied. A data signal D1 is applied to the pixel electrode 18 through the n channel TFTs 22-24 and the pixel electrode 18 is charged to a data signal potential.
