PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image sensor which can prevent the damage of a scintillator. SOLUTION: In the radiation image sensor 2 provided with a scintillator panel, and an image-pickup element 6, the scintillator panel 4 is provided with a radiation-transmissive substrate 10, a sintillator 12 which is formed on the substrate 10 and which is deliquescent, and an organic film 14 which covers the scintillator 12 and which is elastic. A matching oil 20 is interposed between the scintillator panel 4 and the image-pickup element 6, the scintillator panel 4 is pasted onto the image-pickup element 6, and the scintillator panel 4 and the sidewall part of the imaging element 6 are fixed and bonded with a resin 24.
