<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand the application range of automatic voltage regulator by compensating for delay element to the lead element for the energizing circuit consisting of transformer, switching element, rectifier and field circuit of synchronous power generator using arithmetic amplifier for amplifying a terminal voltage of the synchronous power generator. SOLUTION: An output signal of a current detector 7 is amplified, output of a first amplifier 8 connected to the input of a subtractor 12 and an output of the subtractor 12 are also amplified and a transfer function of a synchronous generator 1 is compensated for gain and phase with a third operational amplifier 13 connected to the input of a pulse width modulator 14. Moreover, the transfer function of the circuit consisting of a transformer 2, reactor 2, current transformer 4, switching element 5, rectifier 6 and field winding of synchronous generator 1 is gain-phase compensated by the second operational amplifier 10 to input an output signal of a voltage detector 9 through amplifying operation. The AC side of the rectifier 6 is intermittently terminated by the switching operation to temporarily divide and regulate the combined current of a reactor 3 and a current transformer 4, in order for improving the voltage response characteristic for load variation of the synchronous power generator 1.</p> |
