DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRAFFIC FLOW DATA PREDICTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic flow data prediction device which performs prediction of future traffic flow by using the traffic flow data of a past time series in a sensor. SOLUTION: In a processing part 4, an order difference calculation accumulating means 5 calculates order difference data by using traffic flow data from a sensor 3 and accumulates them in a traffic flow data base 10. A neighborhood data collecting means 6 collects original data in the past or each of the order difference data for indicating distribution of proximity or similarity for data at a time of prediction and stores them in a neighborhood data base 11. A prediction model construction means 7 constructs plural prediction models from collected proximity or similarity data. A predicted value calculation accumulation means 8 finds each predicted value from each of the constructed prediction models and the data at the time of prediction and stores it in a predicted value data base 12. A predicted value selection means 9 selects a predicted value from the plural predicted values by comparison of a past predicted value with a measured value.
