PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to read out an object of any size without complicating or expanding the constitution of the optical information reader by utilizing a conventional basic device constitution as it is. SOLUTION: A reading port to be externally engaged with a case 11 is allowed to be substituted by a reading port 22 having an image forming lens 23. The lens 23 of the port 22, an image forming lens 14 and a reflector 15 constitute an optical system having an optical characteristic different front that of an optical system constituted only of the lens 14 and the reflector 15. The reading port can be substituted also by a reading port having a red light emitting diode for aiding illumination. The diode is connected to a signal line for case 11 side illumination to emit light and a microcomputer in a data processing output part 16 can turn off only a red light emitting diode 12 for illumination. |
