摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an electrode of stipulated size and shape by forming at least, out of tungsten carbide, the surface layers of a pair of core body members of semicircular cross-section having opposed flat surfaces that together form a winding-beginning-end loading part. SOLUTION: A cylindrical core body 1 is made up of a pair of members of semicircular cross-section having opposed flat surfaces that together form a winding-beginning-end loading part 1a. The cylindrical core body 1 is made of tungsten carbide and has a diameter of 2.5 to 4 mm but may have a two- layer structural body made by inserting a cylindrical rod made of stainless steel into a cylindrical body made of tungsten carbide. This arrangement causes the hardness and strength of the cylindrical core body to be enhanced, depending on the material thereof hardened. A manufacturing device for a wound-type electrode is made up of the cylindrical core body 1, a pair of pressure rollers 2a, 2b disposed on an outer circumferential surface thereof, sheet guide mechanism 3a, 3b, wound-type electrode holding blocks 4a, 4b, and the like.
