Apparatus for masking private car bodies which have to be kept free from spraying with a surface coating. The masking is constituted by a material web 19, for example paper, plastics film or the like, which is guided over at least one ruler 17 which is designed to be brought to bear against the car body. The ruler 17 is constituted by a leaf spring, which is attached to an arm 33 which can be pivoted towards and away from the car body 39. The apparatus incorporates firstly an unreeling device 12, for unreeling the masking material 19, and secondly a reeling device 13, for reeling in used masking material, which masking material is intended to pass through a feed device 14 and a stretching device 15 for respectively feeding and stretching unused masking material around the ruler 17. <IMAGE> |
