PRODUCTION OF LOW SKEW COATED OPTICAL FIBER RIBBON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the skew of a coated optical fiber ribbon of a communicate circuit which is required to be the low skew for optical parallel communicate, etc., as small as possible by a simple method in a process for producing the low-skew coated optical fiber ribbon. SOLUTION: Respective optical fibers 2 are formed as a ribbon by regulating the delivery tension of the optical fibers 2 in such a manner that the required tension differences are imparted to the optical fibers 2 according to the differences in the delta (refractive indices) of the optical fibers 2 in the process for producing the coated optical fiber ribbon 1.
