PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cord connecting mechanism of the simple connecting operation and a cord connecting mechanism for correctly connecting a connecting terminal of an electric equipment and a cord corresponding thereto. SOLUTION: This cord connecting mechanism is used for connecting a plug 3 mounted on an end of a cord 2 to an output terminal 5 of a set body 4 of an AV apparatus, the plug 3 comprises an electrode terminal projecting from a plug body and a first engagement part formed on the electrode terminal, the output terminal 5 comprises an insert hole for inserting the electrode terminal and a second engagement part formed inside of the insert hole, and the first engagement part and the second engagement part are engaged with one another by inserting the electrode terminal of the plug 3 into the insert hole of the output terminal 5 and rotating the same by a specific angle, whereby the plug 3 is fixed to the output terminal 5 in the pulling-out direction.
