SLIME CONTROLLER AND SLIME CONTROLLING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slime controller and to provide a slime controlling method capable of effectively preventing the incidence of slime by applying a chemical in the low concentration region having no germicidal effect. SOLUTION: This slime controller is characterized in containing periodic acid or its salt, (i.e., a periodate). Periodic acid and/or its salt is added to water to the concentration of <=20 mg/L and prevent slime from sticking without exhibiting germicidal action against microorganisms.
