PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft support construction for an open-close body which does not give fear about a failure of a shaft portion and a shaft receiving hole portion even by an unexpected load. SOLUTION: An open-close body 3 is supported by shaft in a rotatable manner through the linkage between a shaft portion 6 and a shaft receiving hole portion 14, and the open-close body is rotated to an open position and a close position relative to the base member 1 in this shaft support construction. And in a state where the open-close body 3 is rotated to the open position, if a further rotating load is applied from that position to the open-close body 3, a taper shape 6a is given to the linkage surface between the shaft portion 6 and the shaft receiving hole portion 14 so as to release the linkage between the shaft portion 6 and shaft receiving hole portion 14. Thus, if an unexpected rotation load is applied to the open-close body, the linkage between the shaft portion 6 and shaft receiving hole portion 14 can be released immediately by the action of the taper shape, so that there will be no worry of the breakage of the shaft portion or shaft receiving hole portion thereby permitting the reuse of the base member 1 and the open-close body 3.
