PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally processible copolymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene(CTFE) and an acrylic monomer having good mechanical properties, good barrier properties against gas and vapor, especially water vapor and a melt viscosity suitable for film processing. SOLUTION: This copolymer is a copolymer of CTFE and an acrylic monomer of the formula: CH2=CH-CO-O-R1 (wherein R1 is a 1-20C hydrocarbon group or hydrogen atom, and group R1 optionally contains a hetero atom, one or more functional groups and (or) a double bond), wherein the amount of the acrylic monomer of the formula is within the range of 0.01 to 5 mol.% and the melt flow index(MFI) is within the range of 0.01 to 1,000. |
