PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a pouch filled with contents to stably stand by itself by heat-sealing respectively a front panel to a gusset panel and a rear panel to the gusset panel on a bottom to provide a boat-shaped seal and by forming a notch at a corner of the seal. SOLUTION: When a front panel 1 and a rear panel 2 are overlaid with their respective heat-sealing faces facing, gusset panels 3L, 3R are inserted into both left and right sides to provide seals 4 on side ends of a pouch, and also a bottom is sealed with an end of either of the gusset panels 3L, 3R as a bottom of the pouch. A seal at the time of sealing the pouch bottom is of a boat shape. After a boat-shaped seal 5 is applied, corners of the bottom formed by the front panel 1, the rear panel 2 and the left and right gusset panels 3L, 3R are cut off. Thus when the pouch is made to stand by itself with contents filled, the bottom is stable.
