MOLDED ARTICLE WITH PATTERN AND PREPARATION OF MOLDED ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate luster of the surface while color tone of a pattern is held in a molded article prepd. by providing the pattern on the surface and forming a pattern protective layer by applying a surface coating in which a varnish is a main ingredient on this pattern. SOLUTION: A printed pattern layer 3 is formed by printing various patterns such as picture patterns and figures with a printing ink on the surface of a substrate sheet 2 consisting of a plastic such as polyethylene terephthalate. Then, a surface coating prepd. by adding an ink into a varnish is applied on the printed pattern layer 3 to form a pattern protective layer 4 and this sheet 2 is molded into a specified shape to obtain a molded container (a soap storing container 1). It is possible thereby to eliminate luster of the surface while color tone of the pattern is held only by adding the ink into the varnish as a top coating.
