PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for spreading a foam sheet for spreading in the width in a small thickness unevenness in the state that the sheet is stable. SOLUTION: The apparatus for spreading a foam sheet comprises a pair of front and rear guide blocks 2, 3 arranged at both sides of the sheet to be conveyed from upward toward downward to spread the sheet in a width direction and having endless pinch-holding belts 4, 5 circumferentially feeding in a vertical direction to hold the sheet by sandwiching both side edges of the sheet between opposed pinch-holding surfaces of the belts 4, 5 to spread the sheet in the width direction by the belts 4, 5. Further, a guiding mechanism having an endless receiving belt 7 for guiding the sheet downward and a suction means 8 for sucking a side end of the sheet in a spreading direction is arranged at an upper end between the front and rear endless holding belts is arranged between upper ends between the holding belts. |
