PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable sheets to pass through a printing unit or the varnishing unit of a sheet-feed rotary press without an offset. SOLUTION: A printing unit or a varnishing unit arranged one after another has an impression cylinder 22 for conveying sheets and a rubber blanket cylinder or a varnishing blanket cylinder 23 positioned opposite to the impression cylinder 22. In order to prevent the offset of the sheet printed right before the conveyance of the sheets which pass through the printing unit or the varnishing unit at a standstill from occurring, a part region positioned outside the rubber blanket cylinder or the varnishing blanket cylinder 23, e.g. an intra-groove part 29 or the segment of a cylinder jacket face, is removed or is moved into a cylinder interior 28. Consequently, the space between the impression cylinder 22 and the rubber blanket cylinder or the varnishing blanket cylinder 23 is expanded and the offset of the sheets which pass through the space is prevented from occurring. |
