A spreadable box manufactured from rigid plastics material comprises a bottom 1, side walls 2, 3, and end walls 4, 5, the walls being pivotably connected through hinge parts integral therewith with hinge parts integral with the bottom, the walls being maintained erect by resilient catch means. Preferably, the catch means are located at the ends of strips 7 hingeably connected to the upper edges of the side walls 2, 3, and include projections 8 which engage in apertures 9 provided in the end walls 4, 5.
