PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolator capable of easily adjusting an initial displacement, an elastic coefficient and a natural frequency value of a vibration system due to the load of the device of an elastic displacement part after a machine part is installed on a base and a machine device using the vibration isolator. SOLUTION: A vibration isolator having a base 3 supported on a floor surface 5 on which a machine part generating a vibration is mounted has two ends between which torsion bars 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 are formed on a linear bar with torsional rigidity. The torsion bars are arrange so that one of the ends is connected to the base 3 and the other end is connected to the floor surface 5. Thus, the base 3 is supported relative to the floor surface 5 due to the torsional rigidity. Thus, the initial displacement and the aged deterioration of the base 3 and the natural frequency of an entire device can be readily adjusted. Further, a vibration damper can be attached with ease.
