PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photochromic composition for providing a photochromic material having photochromic characteristics of slight initial discoloration and excellent durability by including a photochromic compound and a (meth)acrylic acid ester-based polymerizable monomer. SOLUTION: This composition comprises a photochromic compound and a (meth)acrylic acid ester-based polymerizable monomer produced by the transesterification method of a (meth)acrylic acid ester such as methyl methacrylate, etc. and an alcohol.
