PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornament attachment device in writing utensils capable of being attached positively without any influences in an outward projection state from the shaft outer surface of an ornament; moreover, damaging no designing property in the side surface part of a shaft body. SOLUTION: The ornament 1 is to be attached to the side surface part of a shaft body of writing utensils having a cylindrical or substantially cylindrical shape, and a projection consisting of a narrow breadth part and wide breadth part and facing toward the central direction of the shaft body 2, and further a wide breadth hole and narrow breadth hole are formed in series at the side surface part of the shaft body 2 so as to enable the narrow breadth part and wide breadth part to be inserted therein, following this, after the wide breadth part of the ornament 1 is inserted in the wide breadth hole, the narrow breadth part of the ornament 1 is moved and fitted in the narrow breadth hole of the shaft body 2; furthermore, a stop-member 3 having a step-configured part is fastened in the shaft body 2, thereby permitting the step-configured part of the stop-member 3 to be connected with the upper part of the wide breadth part of the ornament 1, so that the movement of the shaft body 2 of the ornament 1 is prevented in the longitudinal direction.
