PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional air nipper for treating a gate of a molding. SOLUTION: A piston 1, at the tip of which tapered surfaces 1a are provided and which is energized with a spring 10 towards the returning direction thereof, and a cylinder 2, to which a pair of nipping blades driven by this piston is mounted, are slidably mounted to an L-shape bracket 3. Further, an air feed pipe 5 protruding upper-rearward of the cylinder is passed through the vertical part 3a of the bracket 3 and energized so as to project rearward by means of a spring 15. Furthermore, at the rear of the piston, a pin 14, which passes through the rear wall 8 of the cylinder and abuts against the vertical part 3a, overhangs.
