PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a PZT type piezoelectric porcelain compsn. capable of firing at a lower temp. than the conventional temp. and exhibiting high step-up ratio and efficiency. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric porcelain compsn. is based on a compsn. represented by the formula, Pb[ZrATiB(Zn1/3Nb2/3)c(Mn1/2W1/2)D]O3 (where A/B=0.92-1.13, C>=0, D=0.02-0.08 and A+B+C+D=1) and the firing temp. thereof is <=1,100 deg.C. A relatively inexpensive Ag-Pd electrode having about 1,100 deg.C heat resistant temp. is used as an internal electrode 4 and the objective laminate type piezoelectric transformer is manufactured at a low cost. Further, the step-up ratio and efficiency of the transformer are nearly equal to those of a conventional one and the transformer is excellent also in characteristics as a piezoelectric transformer. |
