PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor plate pushup device for a passenger conveyor allowing easy and quick removing of a floor plate. SOLUTION: A floor plate pushup device includes a bracket 7 mounted in a resting part in a mechanical room, a rod 8 supported by the bracket 7 in a movable manner, a spring support 9 fixed to the end of the rod 8, a floor pushup spring 10 laid between the spring support 9 and the bracket 7, a locking member 11 fixed under the spring 10 for the rod 8, a set-free gripping member 12 mounted on the bracket 7 for gripping the locking member 11, a set-free member connected to the gripping member 12 for setting the gripping member 12 free and a switching means for operating the set-free member.
