PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge prevented from the clogging of a nozzle caused by the mixing with air bubbles or the drying of ink. SOLUTION: A cartridge is divided into an ink tank 17 and a sub-tank 18 by a partition wall 12. When the cartridge 10 is mounted on a carriage 30, at first, the cartridge 10 is set to a temporary position and, in this state set to the temporary position, a suction port part 75a breaks through a packing 14 to be positioned within the sub-tank 18. Therefore, the wetting agent charged in the sub-tank 18 flows in the flow channel 71 in a flow channel constituting member 70 to dissolve the dried ink in a head 50. Thereafter, the suction port part 75a breaks through a tank packing 13 by further pushing in the cartridge 10 to reach the ink tank 17. In this state, the ink charged in the ink tank 17 is supplied to the head through the flow channel 71. |
