PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce sludge, which is generated in a slide part between a roller and a vane when an HFC-based refrigerant is used. SOLUTION: A vane 10 of a rotary compressor using an HFC-based refrigerant is formed such that an oxinitriding treatment and an oxidation treatment are applied onto a surface of a sintered metal. Thus, the surface of the sintered metal is hardened with the oxinitriding treatment, while it becomes porous with the oxidation treatment so that its holding property of a refrigerating machine oil is improved. A roller 8 is made of a cast iron. Moreover, polyvinyl ether oil is used as the refrigerating machine oil so that generation of a metal soap in a slide part between the roller 8 and the vane 10 is prevented. As a result, scuffing between the roller 8 and the vane 10 is reduced, generation of sludge (mainly the metal soap) between them is restrained, so that the rotary compressor and a refrigerating plant using it have improved reliability.
