PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a selvage loosing-prevented woven fabric whose selvage portions can be used for the end portions of the product as they are by weaving thermally non-melting fibers in a ground tissue portion and thermoplastic synthetic fibers as selvage warps and subsequently thermally fusing the selvage portions of the woven fabric. SOLUTION: This salvage loosing-prevented woven fabric is obtained by using thermally non-melting fibers, such as cellulosic fibers, for example, rayon filaments, as ground warps, and thermoplastic synthetic fibers such as polyamide-based fibers as selvage warps, respectively, arranging the warps, weaving the arranged warps with the same thermally non-melting fibers as wefts by the use of a shuttle-less loom such as an air jet loom, and subsequently thermally fusing the selvage portions of the woven fabric or thermally fusing the selvage portions of the woven fabric by the use of a heat cutter, before wound up on a final setter in the finishing process.
