SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing polymethylene guanidine by condensation of guanidine carbonate with hexamethylene diamine followed by treatment with polyhexamethylene guanidine carbonate with orthophosporic acid. Condensation of guanidine carbonate and hexamethylene diamine is carried out at temperature of 110-165 C in solvent having restricted solubility with respect to polyhexamethylene guanidine and carbonated thereof.
