A resilient microwavable container (10) is provided which comprises a bowl (12) including a bottom (16), a continuous side wall (18) extending upwardly from said bottom to define a bowl cavity (88) and a lip (20) extending from said side wall including a pair of substantially annular outwardly extending flanges (80,82); and a selectively detachable lid (14) including a body (30) having a peripheral sealing lip (32) including an outwardly extending tab member (40) and a plurality of inwardly extending protrusions (84); whereby, upon joining said detachable lid to said bowl, said plurality of inwardly extending protrusions snap over and are secured under the annular flanges. <IMAGE> |
