PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel coloring pigment excellent in fastness, in light fastness in particular by adopting a compound of a specific molecular structure. SOLUTION: The objective coloring pigment is represented by the general formula: B=N-A. A represents a group of non-metal atoms necessary for forming a condensed ring which has one ring having a carbon atom attached thereto and bonded to the nitrogen atom in the formula and the other ring having -NR1R2 attached thereto as a substituent. R1 and R2 independently represent each H, an optionally substituted alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and R1 and R2 can be joined together to form a ring. As the condensed ring represented by A is preferable a bicyclic aromatic ring. B represents a coupler component and is bonded to the nitrogen atom in the formula at an active site of the coupler component. As suitable examples of A, there can be cited those represented by formula I and as suitable examples of B, those represented by formula II (wherein R8 and R9 are each an alkyl, an aryl or the like; and the carbon atom marked with * is an active site). |
