PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of a special quality such as transparency, breakage at a custody, and changes of an appearance and color caused by sterilization by combining radiation applying sterilization and heat treatment of a predetermined temperature less than glass transition temperature for a predetermined time period to sterilize a alicyclic structure- containing hydrocarbon polymer resin container. SOLUTION: A molded product is irradiated to treat sterilization with γ-rays or electron- rays. This radiation is practiced by a normal method. Uniform sterilization efficiency can be obtained by the γ-rays in spite of a shape and a material of the molded product, however fast treatment cannot be practiced. The fast treatment can be practiced by the electron-rays and is superior in radiation condition controls, however limitation for transparency depends on the molded product. After treated by irradiation, the molded product is treated by heat for more than 30 minutes, at more than 40 deg.C, which is less than glass transition temperature, preferably lower temperature than the transition temperature by more than 5 deg.C. When the temperature is less than 40 deg.C, discoloration remains to lower the transparency and property for observing containing material. When the temperature is less than the glass transition temperature, the molded product is deformed. Lowering in the special qualities can be prevented to sterilize the molded product thereby. |
