PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience by fixing a circular-arc member along the wheel cover of a large wheel to a main frame and freely rotatably attach the rear part of an armrest by an axis provided at this circular-arc member so as to jump up the armrest backward at need. SOLUTION: The circular-arc member 15 is provided along the wheel cover 14 covering the large wheel 3 of a wheel chair. This member 15 is obtained by forming a round pipe by curving and fixing both end parts of it to the main frame through a connecting piece 16. Then, the axis 17 is horizontally put through to the upper part of this member 15 and the rear part of the armrest 18 is pivoted by this axis 17 to make it possible to jump up the armrest 18 backward. The armrest 18 is made of plastics, its bottom face part 19 is formed in the shape of a circular arc along the outer periphery of the circular-arc member 15, a horizontal long hole 21 is formed at a horizontal extending part 20 at the upper side of the armrest 18 and a cover-shaped projecting plate 22 is provided on this part 20 in the state of being slidable forward and backward to adjust a position capable of supporting an arm according to a user's favor.
