PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tooth brush which is excellent both in holding capacity and brushing performance of a tooth brushing agent. SOLUTION: Tufts 4 of bristles with the density thereof exceeding 64% are used and arranged in plurality on the surrounding area of the center point O to form grouped block patterns around the center point by a plurality of groups of the bristle tufts. The ratio (bristle tuft occupying rate) of the sum of the sectional areas of all bristle tufts is 35% or more per a block area obtained by aligning the outsides of the groups of bristle tufts. The ratio (block- wise bristle density) of the sum of sectional areas of brushing bristles is 22% or more per the block area obtained by aligning the outsides of the groups of bristle tufts. The ratio of the block area in one block pattern is at least 4% or more per bristle covered are obtained by aligning the outsides of the bristle bundles in the whole of the bristle planted area. When the block patterns are formed in plurality, the ratio of the sum of the block areas in the plurality of block patterns is set at least 10% per the total bristle-planted area.
