PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil spring which can prevent parts from slipping off from a holding member. SOLUTION: A strip-like spring member is continuously wound in a coil-like manner. It has a large diameter end 2 and a small diameter end 4 substantially parallel thereto. A connection part 5 connecting the ends to each other has continuous corrugated form having projections 6 and recessions 7, having the same diameter as the small diameter end 4. In sich a spiral coil spring, a front 3 of the large diameter end 2 is located on the recession of the connection part 5 when the large diameter end 2 is contracted.
