PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the effective utilization of a filter unit mounting parts as an effective area of a filter for treating gas and to improve mounting quality and exchange workability by using members having air permeability for planar members which hold and fix the filter from both sides and forming these members attachably and detachably. SOLUTION: Members having the air permeability are used for planar members 1 for holding and fixing a filter used for an air cleaner, etc., including a ventilation fan or air conditioner, etc., from both sides in order to enable the effective utilization of almost all the area of a filter unit mounting part of the filter as the effective area of the filter. At the time of assembling the filter unit, the filter is held by maintaining a specified clearance when the filter is held and fixed from both sides by using the two planar member 1. Detents 2 are prepd. as separate members as the means for obtaining the clearance, by which the assembly of the filter unit having the desired clearance is made possible at a low cost.
