PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resist the abnormal propagation of smooth muscle cells by having a receptor for housing a medical material and more particularly a material marked by radioactivity. SOLUTION: This stent is positioned to a position to be treated via a suitable device in a blood vessel which becomes ill. At this time, the stent is equipped with the special receptor which has high affinity to a prescribed material as far as possible. The receptor is fixed to the surface of the stent and enables the intended connection of the material distinguished in terms of the high affinity to the receptor existing on the surface of the stent. Such material having the high affinity to the receptor may contain a large quantity of, for example, radioactivity. As a result, the stent equipped with the corresponding receptor is capable of housing the exactly defined quantity of the material to be introduced into the human body of a patient, for example, the vein and, consequently, the adjustment of the exact radiation dose of the radioactivity is assured. |
