PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the collector voltage of a horizontal output transistor from exceeding the rated voltage and to shorten the time required from a horizontal frequency is changed to it is synchronized. SOLUTION: A comparator 14 and an adder 15 compare a voltage VCC1 of the horizontal output power of a horizontal output circuit 20 with an input frequency control voltage VFC11 of an input frequency, and a frequency control voltage VFC12 generated by combining the detecting voltage VDE1 of the compared result with frequency control voltage VFC11 is supplied to a horizontal oscillator 13. Thus, a horizontal oscillation frequency is controlled so that the collector voltage of the horizontal output transistor of the horizontal output circuit 20 does not exceed the rated voltage, even if an input horizontal frequency drops.
