<p>The invention relates to a guide apparatus which is arranged in the edge region of the web of material at an angle to the running direction, having a counterpressure roller and a controller drum which is parallel to the counterpressure roller, can be adjusted perpendicular to the plane of the web of material and is mounted on a pivoting lever in an overhanging manner, and having an actuator which engages with the pivoting lever for pivoting of the pivoting lever about an axis parallel to the axis of the control drum and against the force of a spring. Known guide apparatus take up a great deal of space near the edge of the web of material, are of complicated construction and can only be sensitively controlled if there is considerable expenditure on control technology. In addition to this, problems arise when nonhomogeneous webs are guided. According to the invention, this is avoided in that the actuator is made part of an actuating drive and rests against the one-arm pivoting lever immediately adjacent to the mounting of the controller drum axle and in that the controller drum axle is provided with a balancing pivoting point, the axis of articulation of which intersects with the controller drum axle and is parallel to the running direction of the web of material.</p> |
