PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for chipping concrete in which chipping of concrete by water jet injection is performed at uniform density. SOLUTION: A working pattern with which straight line intervals 11-19 are combined, is set up so that a jet locus 10 does not cause roughness and fineness for a chipping region 20 of concrete. In the jet locus 10, adjacent straight line intervals 11, 13, 15, 17, 19,... are nearly parallel one another and uniform jet density is obtained in the intervals. Such jet locus 10 as this is easily obtained by intermittently moving an injection nozzle in the directions of the straight line intervals 12, 14, 16, 18,... for example, while reciprocating and moving the injection nozzle in the directions of straight line intervals 11, 13, 15, 17, 19,....
