SOLUTION: When the power supply is turned on, initializing processes A to C are successively executed in steps 101 to 103, an interruption is allowed after the completion of the above processes to be on standby until a new impulse of a reference signal (x) is inputted in a step 104. When it is confirmed that the impulse is inputted, it goes to a step 105 to clear and start a period measuring timer, and it goes to a step 106 to execute an initializing process D. Then, it goes to a step 107 to be on standby until a new impulse of the signal (x) is inputted. If the impulse is inputted, it goes to a step 108, the value of the timer at that time is stored, it goes to a step 109 to clear and start the timer. Then, it goes to a step 110 to obtain the period of the signal (x) based on the stored value in the step 108. |
